Everything we sell is new and genuine. It’s sourced through official South African distribution channels and comes with a local warranty. Here’s how it works.
Your 6-month CPA warranty
By law, every product comes with an implied warranty of quality for 6 months from delivery (Consumer Protection Act, sections 55 and 56). If a product has a defect, is unsafe, or doesn’t work as it reasonably should, you can choose to have it repaired, replaced or refunded. If we repair an item and the same problem, or any other defect, appears within 3 months of the repair, we’ll replace it or refund you.
Manufacturer warranty
Many products carry a manufacturer’s warranty longer than 6 months, often 12, 24 or 36 months depending on the brand and product. Where it’s available, the warranty period is shown on the product page. [PLACEHOLDER: confirm warranty periods will be shown on product pages, or state where customers can find them]. After the first 6 months, claims are handled under the manufacturer’s warranty terms, which may provide for repair or replacement rather than a refund.
You don’t have to deal with the manufacturer yourself. Contact us and we’ll handle the claim through our distribution partners.
What isn’t covered
- Accidental damage, drops, cracked screens, liquid or impact damage.
- Misuse, neglect, or use not in line with the manufacturer’s instructions.
- Damage from external causes such as power surges, lightning, incorrect power supplies or poor installation.
- Unauthorised repairs, modifications, overclocking beyond manufacturer specifications, firmware tampering, or removed or damaged warranty seals and serial-number stickers.
- Normal wear and tear, and consumables such as filament, print beds and nozzles, ink, and batteries beyond their rated life, unless they were faulty on arrival.
- Software issues, viruses, or loss of data.
- Cosmetic wear that doesn’t affect how the product works.
How to make a warranty claim
- Contact us with your order number, the product, its serial number, a clear description of the fault, and photos or a short video if possible.
- We may first troubleshoot with you, since many issues can be fixed with a setting, update or cable.
- If the product needs to be assessed, we’ll give you an RMA number and return instructions. We’ll arrange a courier collection for the return.
- The product is assessed by the manufacturer or our distribution partner’s technical team. Assessment and repair usually take [PLACEHOLDER: typical warranty turnaround, e.g. 7–21 business days]. We’ll keep you updated along the way.
- If the fault is covered, we’ll repair, replace or refund you as described above. If it isn’t covered, for example because of physical damage, we’ll explain why and, where possible, offer you a repair quote. [PLACEHOLDER: state whether any assessment or return fee applies to items found not faulty or not covered]
Before you send a device in
- Back up your data. Repairs and replacements may wipe storage, and we can’t be responsible for lost data.
- Remove passwords, PINs and accounts (Google, Apple, Mi Home and similar) so the device can be tested.
- Include all accessories needed to test the fault, such as chargers and cables, unless we tell you otherwise.
- Pack it securely, preferably in the original box.
Dead on arrival
If a product doesn’t work when you first use it, please tell us within [PLACEHOLDER: DOA reporting window, e.g. 7 days] of delivery. Once the fault is confirmed, we’ll prioritise a replacement. You’re still covered by the 6-month CPA warranty after this period.
